Meet the Crew
Around here, adventures don’t always mean climbing mountains or sleeping under the stars.
Sometimes an adventure is cutting firewood, fixing something that probably should have been left alone, taking the long way home, riding a trail just to see where it goes—or sitting around the table with a cup of coffee and a puzzle when the weather turns bad.
That’s life with the Little Bear crew.
We’re a small family with a big love for the outdoors, good food, dependable gear, hard work, and the people we get to share it all with.
And yes… there are pickles involved.
Little Bear
Strong of heart. Curious by nature. Usually carrying a tool he probably didn’t need.
Little Bear is the builder, fixer, wanderer, fisherman, gear tester, and occasional creator of problems that did not exist five minutes earlier.
He believes most things can be repaired, improved, rebuilt, or at least taken apart to see what’s inside.
You’ll find him working around the property, tinkering with a truck, cutting firewood, fishing, riding trails, testing outdoor gear, or convincing Bunny Bear that his newest idea is completely reasonable.
Sometimes he’s even right.
Little Bear believes good gear should work, people should keep their word, and there’s very little in life that can’t be improved by a campfire.
Bunny Bear
The heart of the family—and the reason half of Little Bear’s ideas work at all.
Bunny Bear brings warmth wherever she goes.
She loves the outdoors, camping, trails, gardening, good food, quiet evenings, and the people around her. She has a way of making strangers feel like friends and ordinary days feel a little more special.
She is also the woman behind the pickles.
Bunny Bear’s pickles are made in small batches and only in the quantities we can make the way we believe they should be made.
We could make more.
We simply won’t make them less.
When they’re gone, they’re gone.
And if you ever manage to get your hands on a jar, consider yourself part of a fairly peculiar club.
Benny
Security. Trail inspector. Professional napper.
Benny takes his responsibilities very seriously.
Nobody is entirely sure what those responsibilities are.
He accompanies the Bears on adventures, supervises projects from a safe distance, investigates suspicious noises, accepts snacks when circumstances require it, and generally keeps the whole operation under control.
At least that’s what he tells us.
Benny doesn’t sell anything.
Benny doesn’t recommend gear.
Benny does, however, reserve the right to inspect all food entering the premises.
What Little Bear Adventures Is Really About
We don’t believe a good life has to be complicated.
Build something.
Fix something.
Go somewhere.
Make good food.
Spend time outside.
Take care of your people.
Laugh when the plan falls apart.
And try again tomorrow.
Little Bear Adventures grew out of the life we were already living. The Bears simply gave us a way to share it.
The products and gear you see here are things we genuinely like, use, or believe are worth telling somebody about. We’re not interested in recommending junk just because somebody will pay us to do it.
Our reputation is worth more than a commission.
That also means some things around here will always stay small.
Bunny Bear’s pickles are one of them.
They were never meant to become a factory product. They’re part of the family, part of the story, and—judging by how difficult they occasionally are to acquire—apparently part of local folklore.
We’re perfectly happy with that.
Come Along With Us
There probably won’t be a perfectly planned route.
Something may break.
Little Bear will probably bring too many tools.
Bunny Bear will somehow make everything better.
Benny will expect snacks.
But we’ll figure it out.
That’s the adventure.
